What does the role entail?

This is a novel role which is integral to the growth of our firm. The preparation and process assistant will manage the initial onboarding of all clients and ensure that the correct information and documentation has been collected for each piece of work so that the legal team have everything they need to work in an efficient manner. This role will involve a lot of client contact.

The successful candidate will be:

(i) keen to learn about specific legal workflows and the work done by members of the legal team;
(ii) systematic and organised and able to collect data and manage multiple workflows;
(iii) a good communicator;
(iv) interested in improving efficiency in processes including through automation;
(v) enthusiastic, driven and a team player

Who is the role suitable for?

This is NOT a legal role. We are NOT looking for applicants who wish to get paralegal experience and/or eventually qualify as a solicitor. Please do not apply if you are looking for a legal role.

This is an administrative role through which the successful applicant will gain an in-depth understanding of the workings of a law firm and the work that we do.

Is there career progression?

Increasingly law firms are appointing CEOs and management teams recruited from people without a legal background. However law firm management must have an understanding of how law firms work and the work that they do. This role is an entry level role which will rapidly accelerate the successful applicant’s understanding of law firms and the work that they do. It is suitable for a person at the beginning of their career who has an interest in working on the administrative and management side of professional services, in particular in law firms.

This is a unique role which will give the successful applicant unparalleled access to a range of clients at the early stage of their career and an understanding of the work done by lawyers in a busy corporate team.

Experience working in a similar role is a bonus. We will provide you with training to equip you with the necessary skills and to ensure that you are confident at performing your role. If you don’t have much relevant experience, but are prepared to work hard and always do your best, please apply.
