We are recruiting an Office Administrator. We are a small boutique law firm based in Shoreditch, London. You will work with the COO to ensure the smooth operation of the firm and will be an important part of many aspects of the firm’s operations.
Your day will begin with opening, sorting and filing the post, communicating directly with clients on matters in the post that relate to them, and updating the legal team of any matters that need handling.
Your activities throughout the day will be varied and may include (i) answering the telephone, (ii) setting up meetings and welcoming clients to the office (iii) running time reports and reviewing invoices (iv) drafting covering letters to clients and regulators (v) assisting with external events and (vi) helping the managing partner with his administrative tasks.
Is there career progression?
We value our staff and are always keen for them to develop and grow with the firm. There are many routes for development from this role and we are happy to discuss your career objectives with you on an ongoing basis.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
“Get up and go” attitude – you will do your best at all times.
Experience working in a similar role is a bonus. Some experience working in an office is important. We will provide you with training to equip you with the necessary skills and to ensure that you are confident at performing your role. If you don’t have much relevant experience, but are prepared to work hard and always do your best, please apply.
This is not a legal role and is not an entry level role for those wishing to become a paralegal or solicitor.
Who will you be working with?
Our team is small and friendly. We are also a diverse bunch with a range of backgrounds and interests. We have a fairly relaxed culture compared to other firms.
We have three objectives we want team members to achieve every day:
- provide the best service to our clients;
- achieve something (whether it be an aspect of personal development, or a task you have done really well); and
- have fun.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from anyone regardless of their background.
