Business Development Manager (Manchester Office)

Job Role:


The ideal candidate will be a Business Development Manager with strong interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on organisation, and enhanced multitasking abilities. Business to business sales, marketing and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position, as well as an understanding of the work undertaken by law firms, specifically in the corporate arena. The ideal candidate will have experience researching market trends, targeting relationships with new clients and third parties as well as developing the company’s business strategy.




Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets

Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and clients’ satisfaction

Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings

Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients

Maximising networking opportunities and regularly using conferences, events and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts

Contacting clients to inform them about new company’s services

Developing quotes and proposals

Negotiating by phone, email and in person

Developing sales goals for the managing director and ensuring they are met

Training and helping team members develop their business skills


Skills, Experience & Qualifications:


A degree or equivalent qualification is recommended, but a proven background in business development may be sufficient.

A proven track record in strong presentation skills

Strong track record of business-to-business sales at a corporate level

Strong research and strategic analysis skills

Outstanding sales skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to call potential clients with confidence

Agreeing and closing deals with clients

The ability to generate new ideas and concept that will boost the company’s success

Possess the ability to be flexible and multi tasking


Special aspects:


Hours 09:30h to 18:00h from Monday to Friday but it is essential to be flexible and prepared to work beyond the normal office hours when necessary

20 Days Holiday plus Bank Holiday

Starting Date as soon as possible (flexible).

Job Type: 6 months contract with ability to make it permanent

Business Development Manager Salary will be as follows: £25,000 pa reviewed annually
